The ASI Survey Report

The ASI survey report is about the Archaeological Survey of India’s thorough examination of the Gyanvapi Mosque complex in Varanasi. The report says there was a Hindu temple at the place before they built the Gyanvapi Mosque. This is clear from things like old buildings, objects, writings, and statues.

The report asserts that builders used parts of the original temple, such as pillars, in the construction of the mosque. The report has pictures that show broken statues of Hindu gods like Hanuman, Ganesha, and Nandi. It also has images of yonipattas, a sandstone slab with Persian writing, a pestle, and statues that are not in good condition. The Varanasi District Court received and disclosed the report on January 25, 2024.
